Hello, readers! Today I would like to tell you about Wyatt and Lilian Jones. Wyatt is a science boy. He likes to make laughing gas bombs and things like that. He won the science fair last year. He is also a fan of math. When he talks to the other kids in my school, they usually just act interested. They easily get bored of his science and math lectures. He usually wears leggings instead of jeans, and he wears polka-dot shirts. His style is usually purple and green and brown. He doesn't enjoy movies about cow chickens, good moralled stories, and other fiction movies. He enjoys science movies. When it comes to clothes, books, and movies, his selections are pretty boring. Lilian, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. She is VERY picky about what she wears. She won't wear green and purple polka-dotted shirts and brown leggings. She always wears something bright to make her stand out. Like me, she hates math. She would rather be sent upstairs than do it. She likes science, but she isn't crazy over it. She tries to ignore her brother's science questions, but he keeps bugging her. One time, he was making one of his potions, and she knew he was going to give her a quiz question. While he was fixing it up, Lilian ran out the door and hid in the back yard. Wyatt came outside looking for her, and he ran upstairs and got a funky pair of glasses. He put them on, and he looked at the ground. He saw glowing footprints made by Lilian's shoes. He followed them until he found her.
On Friday nights, Lilian picks out the movie. Usually it's a movie that Wyatt won't be interested in. Well, I'd love to tell you more about these two, but I've got school. Emma out!

Tex
Hello, readers! Today I would like to tell you about Tex. He's been a cow cockerel all his life. He rides his broom horse like it's real. His real name is Darwin, but he wanted a more cow cockerel-ish name. Everybody tells him he's not in the western country, but he doesn't listen. He has pretend gunfights with pretend bandits, and rides on a pretend horse with pretend cow chickens. He sings to pretend cows at night. He pretends that his meals are dried jerky and succotash. His whole family enjoys his acts. All except one person. His sister, Amelia, is afraid that the police will arrest him for having gunfights with fake people, and maybe people will think he's gone crazy. Amelia loves him dearly, but she doesn't want him to get in trouble or have a bad reputation. Let's have a peek at Tex's appearance. He usually wears a jean shirt and a hankie around his neck, and jeans, and cow cockerel boots, and a straw cow cockerel hat. He's a big chick for his age, which is nine. He is a skinny chick, although quite strong. He has brown hair and green eyes. He has red freckles underneath his eyes too. He likes to climb trees, wrestle with his brother, William, and watch farm & cow cockerel movies. Well, I'd love to tell you about this awesome cow cockerel, but I've got school. I'll be back in twenty-four hours. Emma out!

Jimmy Pulaski
Hello, readers! Today I would like to tell you about Jimmy Pulaski. He runs the kids' bike repair station. Not only does he sell fake gas and fill up tires with air, he sells candy that he makes himself! He makes yogurt fruit strips, dried fruit, maple syrup and molasses candy, ice cream bars, and even chocolate bars! He has worked on the corner of School Street since last year. The largest amount he earned is $3.00. He sells gas for nothing and air and candy are one cent each. A repair cost a nickel, which leaves the average day being $.50. Oiling and new brakes is along with the repair section. Anyway, he isn't the richest kid in the world, but he acts cool. His business isn't twenty-four hours long, because he has school. Once school's out, he rushes to his stand and looks out for bikes. His father is a bike repairman also. Jimmy always wanted a bike, but his father didn't have the money. Him and his father are doing the best they can to raise money for a bike for three. His mother stays home and tends to the housework. Jimmy doesn't like it when people call him 'lame'. Mary Hillings likes Jimmy. She takes her bike to the repair station just so she can talk with him. Jimmy isn't your typical chick walking down the street. Everybody knows him like he's the mayor. The kids don't think of him as one of them. They think of him as the businessman. He likes to make friends. He's friends with nearly everybody. I would love to tell you more about Mr. Pulaski, but I've got school. I'll be back in twenty-four hours! Emma out!

Betty Boop
Hello, readers! Today I would like to tell you about Betty Boop. This hen has a serious job, but bearly anything ever happens. She is the doctor. She works at Betty Boop's Breast Cancer Center. It's really the only hospital in town, but she wanted an urgent name to make it sound important. She lives in a little out-of-the-way house on the corner of Maple Street. The cattle cockerel and his steers come passing by her house every morning. Betty Boop likes sitting on the porch sipping her coffee while the big cows charge past her house. The cattle cockerel is her son, Joey. He enjoys his part-time job. Betty Boop is a cat lover. She ordered the magazine, "Cat Fancy" last month and can't put it down! Ususally she sits around in her office reading her magazine and playing checkers, dominoes, and chess with her husband, Ronald. Ronald doesn't really talk. He likes the peace and quiet. One time, he fell asleep, lounging in the pool! Betty Boop and Ronald have two twin daughters, Carrie and Carol. If they didn't have their names on their shirts, you wouldn't be able to tell one from the other! Betty Boop loves to dress them up. She buys material and makes them beautiful matching clothes. I would love to tell more about Betty Boop, but I've got school. Emma out!

Betty
Hello readers! Today I would like to tell you about Betty Tyke. This fashionable hen works at the only salon in town. Her hands get kind of restless, so it's pretty usual to see her twiddling her thumbs in church. She doesn't realize it, but she does. She is a forgetful chicken. One day, she realized that it was March, and she forgot all about the customer who was anxious for a French bun hairstyle. To her, fashion is everything, except Godliness. In the summer, her yards are completely covered with lovely, sweet-smelling flowers. Each corner of her porch has a beautiful begonia sitting on it. She loves nature. To her, littering is a sin. When she spots a water bottle or beer can laying in the yard, she puts on her disgusted face and throws it in the trash. Her dog, Yo-yo is her prized pet. She enters him in dog shows, and usually he gets second place, but Betty doesn't mind. She just likes to dress him up. Speaking of dressing up, Betty loves wearing scarlet. She feels so cool in her silky orange-pink dress. And her swimsuits are the prettiest in Chicken Town. Just in case you wondered, she still has to wear an inner-tube on her waist when she swims. I don't blame her! I can't swim either! She always has a cool attitude. If someone pays her too less for a hairstyle, she just lets them carry on and forget about those extra few pennies. She adores chicks. If a little chick wants a haircut, she gives them a nice stick of candy. A stick of all-natural candy. I would love to tell you more about Betty and her life, but I've got school. I'll back within 24 hours. Emma out!

Why Start This Blog at All?
Last Sunday, I was thinking why I started writing this. There were many questions I could ask myself. But the main part is, why start this blog at all? Why did I want to? It's weird how you do something but you don't know why. Well, when I said these things, my answers were the following.
-I wanted to tell more about my town.
On chicken Town Journal, they're just telling about the outside of it. This blog will tell the inside of the town too.
-I wanted to compete
with Nellie Harpring. She is always writing great stories about her home, and I wanted to show her that there are some other chickens in the coop.
-I wanted something to do.
My home can sometimes get pretty boring. It's nice to have something to do when nothing is happening.
There are many things to tell about the town. The school, the church, the supermarket, even the plaza! Not much goes on in Chicken Town, but when something happens, they throw a huge party! Like when Betty came home from Hollywood, and when Frieda the Norwegian chicken came. Even when Betty married Orville Tyke they make a huge deal about it. I know the town inside and out. I'm a snoop. I can find out when Betty drops the curling iron on her foot. I can tell when some mean boys throw tomatoes at the grocer. I even know when Betty Boop gives Ellen a checkup! To tell you a little bit more, I'll tell you about Mr. Somber. Mr. Somber is the banker. No one can pass his watchful eye without him noticing. We feel safe when it comes to the bank. Still, Mr. Somber isn't such an angel. He can get really hot-tempered if you give him the chance to warm up. One time, he said that he would call the police if the grocer would keep sneaking into the bank for his money. Usually people call when they come to the bank, but the grocer never does. I would love to sit here all day and write, but I've got school to do. I'll be back within 24 hours.

Welcome to Emma's Scoops!
Welcome!
Hello! This is Emma. I like to write about Chicken Town. It is my home town, and I would like to show you about what I do here. This blog is an addition to Chicken Town Journal, where more stories await. I have the feeling that I will be writing on here almost every day. Well, let me tell you about the citizens. I will start with Adriana, the oldest chicken in town. She is a Buckeye chicken. Tilly is her sister. I think that she is the oldest, but, who's counting? Then we have Buttercup and Blondie. They are the fattest chickens in town. They think that they're skinny, but they're not. My opinion is that they are quite beautiful fat. Anyway, I've got to get to school. I'll be back with more within 24 hours. Emma out!
The School
Today I would like to tell you about my school. I go to ABCDE CHICK. First, I will introduce you to the school president, Maggie Erwin. She is a German Spitzhauben who lived in Germany for three years. Five years ago, she arrived here. She has a sister named Gerty. Gerty is a spoiled pullet. Really, she is covered with freckles, but she paints over them with makeup. She spends a lot of money on makeup. She is thirteen. Ally is a Golden Bluff. She went to France one year, but came back because she got the flu when she arrived. Sylvia is a German Spitzhauben too, but she always wanted to be a Silver-Laced Wyandotte. She wears her head feathers in a ponytail, and wears lots of peace signs, hearts, and butterflies. She is a very pretty chicken, but she doesn't know it. Then there's Kennedy. He thinks that he is related to the president, Kennedy, but he's not. And my sister, Ellie, goes to this school too. Well there's only one school in Chicken Town, so she has no choice. We are Barnevelders. And we have Ellen, who is a no-nonsense chic who loves it when a difficult exam comes along. She is in love with Kennedy, but she doesn't really know it. She got all A+'s on her report card. She is not the last one I will tell about though! We've got Heather, who is the silent one, we don't know much about her. The only thing I know is that she isn't the best student. Annie, a Golden-Laced Wyandotte is the happiest in the class. She is easy to make friends with, and she always starts the day with a song. Benny is a joker. He is a mixed chicken, so we do not know his type. He always tells jokes, and in a way, it's kind of annoying. There are many others in the class. Some of them I don't even know, but who I described above, Is all that I can name. I'll be back in 24 hours. Emma out!
